What are you doing on Tradespace?

Yesterday I spent an interesting afternoon in the snowy Highlands with James Kerr of North East Fabricators to find out more about how he was using his Tradespace site. My interview with James was being filmed for our series of Tradespace case studies which will soon be available to view online.

James helped develop the Man Overboard Rescue and Recovery Cage with retired skipper Bob Reed. The award-winning invention has been hailed a huge success and regularly receives interest from all corners of the globe.

The small four-man team could barely cope with the volume of calls they were getting from potential customers and that's where BT Tradespace came in. James, a welder to trade, set up his Tradespace site so he could direct people to it for the latest information about the revolutionary product. Although James has two other websites, being non-technical meant that he found it much easier to keep his Tradespace site updated with blog posts, podcasts and videos than going through the process of updating his websites every time he wanted to add some new content.

"We don't sell online" James told me, "Our Tradespace site is simply a tool that helps us demonstrate our product to people around the world using the various media formats such as videos and photos". "Video is a universal language that everyone can understand so the language barrier is no longer a problem"

This is a great example of one way of using Tradespace to promote your business but we want to find out how you are using Tradespace. Do you have a story to tell? If so we'd love to hear from you and you could even be the next to feature in one of our video case studies.
