Create a Tradespace community for your customers

Posted 7 December 2007 at 1:32PM by Ivan Croxford in Tips & tricks

BT Tradespace is a great way to promote your business to new customers. With Tradespace Communities we have now got a tool to help us keep up the conversation with existing customers on a regular basis.

At BT, we are working with a few of our account managers to use a private community on Tradespace as a place for our sales guys to talk to their customers, and for our customers to talk to BT and each other about BT! It's an easy way to stay in touch on a daily basis with your customers, to get their feedback, ideas, deal with support issues, and to tell them about news in the business.

So why don't you also set up a community for your customers on Tradespace? It's very easy to do from your Tradespace account, select 'My Communities' and then 'Create a community'. And then invite your customers to join and let the conversations begin!

A private community means only invited members can join. Invites can be sent by any member in the private community. A public community can be joined by anybody.

Let us know how you get on!

Just discovered Tradespace today and it certainly looks very interesting.
Being situated in N.Ireland, like many local companies, we look to both mainland UK and to the Republic Of Ireland for business oppotunities. I'm wondering is Tradespace focussed on the UK market?...is BT Ireland launching a similar thing or is Tradespace international?

Hi Andy

BT Tradespace has been designed with the international market in mind, not just the UK. For example, our Call Free click to call capability allows people from different countries to place and receive calls. And you don't need to be a BT customer to have a Tradespace, any business can sign up.

We also have a few hundred businesses outside the UK with Tradespaces and some are doing very nicely in search results on Google etc.

That said, our focus has really been on the UK to date and we are talking to our colleagues in BT Ireland about opportunities to do more there. So, your interest is very welcome.

Thanks
