Tradespace to be flooded with activity!

Posted 16 July 2008 at 8:32AM by Martin Faux in Announcements

As part of our continual process of improving the general speed of Tradespace and because we aim to have 1 million businesses using the service, starting at Midnight on Saturday the 19th of July and finishing at 8am on Sunday morning, we'll be running a series of load tests.

How will this affect you?

Well, basically, if you're using Tradespace between these hours, you're likely to experience a very slow response to anything you try and do.

This load test will comprise of a series of automated actions which will simulate thousands of users carrying out simultaneous tasks, or if you want the technical term from Alex our Head of Technology and Operations, "We'll be chucking loads of traffic at the site to see what breaks!"

I hope this doesn't have too much of an impact on you, but we do want to find the areas of the site that need a bit of tlc!

High Martin & Alex,

Good luck with burning the midnight oil on Sunday morning, I expect to see the site flying when I log on around 6 am Sunday morning, in the meantime I suggest you get in some extra sleep.

Good luck Ken - antiques et cetera
